Woman cut free after car rolls over in Middlesbrough crash

A car rolled over in a two-vehicle crash at the junction of Stainton Way and Dixons Bank in Marton, Middlesbrough.

Multiple police cars, fire engines and an ambulance were called out around 7.10pm on Sunday night (March 9).

Cleveland Fire Brigade confirmed two fire engines were in attendance from Coulby Newham and Middlesbrough.  They said the collision involved two vehicles.  One vehicle tipped on its side and was stabilised with props.

Firefighters used cutting gear to release one person, who was treated by North East Ambulance Service.

Cleveland Police later said a woman in her 60s was taken to hospital as a precaution to be checked over. They said the second vehicle was a Volkswagen Polo. Both cars were recovered.
