TOWIE Star Pete āthe pirateā Wicks surprised fans with ālovelyā off-screen personality during a personal appearance atĀ a Middlesbrough nightclub.
The reality TV star, Pete Wicks, recently made his way to YoYo at Spensleyās Emporium, Middlesbrough,Ā for a night of pictures and partying with northern fans.
Aside from The Only Way is Essex shooting him to stardom in 2015, Pete is also best known for appearing on Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls (2018) and Celebs Go Dating (2019).
A specific area of the club was sectioned off for those wishing to queue for the chance to meet their favourite TOWIE star and even pose for a photograph with him.
Crowds could be seen pushing their way toward the VIP section of the Middlesbrough club, desperate for a meet and greet with the reality star.
And what struck the fans theĀ most wasĀ his down to earth and gentle off-screen personality.
Surprisingly, Pete Said:Ā Ā āThe Essex party scene is not greatā
āI like coming up north. Everyone up North is a lot nicer than down South.
āManchester is an amazing night out, and I also really love visiting Glasgow.”
Pete also admitted that heād never watched an episode of TOWIE and that he hates watching reality TV.
He said: āIād much prefer to watch David Attenborough and Iām well into the new series āSeven Worlds.”
Lauren, 22, who was among many of the girls that Pete stopped to chat with said:Ā āPete was lovely. I thought he would be so arrogant and he wasnāt.”
āAs with all celebrities, the TV and the media can portray them like they think theyāre better than everyone else, and they can appear quite snappy and arrogant.
“But he wasnāt. He was so polite and wished me and good night and everything, and happily took a photo with me.
Ā “He was nothing like I would have thought.”
Apart from visiting Middlesbrough, Pete had also previously visited Aruba in Redcar in 2016, where one of his loving fans went as far as getting down on one knee to propose to him.
