During my final term at university I created a range of animations to showcase my skills in several areas. My main interest lies with human animation, so I created a body mechanics animation of a human traversing an obstacle course with parkour to improve on and demonstrate my understanding of weight and dynamic motion. I also animated a lip sync to show my ability to convey emotion through expression and body language.
As an aspiring animator though, it was important for me not to limit myself to only one kind of animation, so I created a creature walk cycle with extra movements from reference. Expanding the kinds of animation I created was important for me to be able to create a showreel that demonstrates an industry standard level of skill.
