My Project Description:
For my final year project, I decided to use an idea that I’d been working on for some time now. Since early 2019. To write a script-only project that would tell a different kind of superhero story. Without all the usual superhero tropes. One that’s grounded & realistic in certain aspects. It tells a story about confidence, doubt, loss, self-belief, and development.
This is the Story about how one insignificant boy became someone who’s actions affected the world.

Hello, my name is Kieren Dixon.
I’m a 22 year old Student at Teeside University who has completed his third year in the Film & Television Course (BA Hons). And my goal is to write for the television industry, to someday create new episodic content. I focus in the areas of Script Writing. To invent new, likeable, and relatable characters. Placing them in stories which are constructed to be as original as possible. Stories that will put the characters on a journey. And in that process, we as the audience/reader will see how that character develops & adapts. To me, that’s the most essential part of the story. The transformation of those characters. In terms of genres, I like writing for science fiction, horror, or fantasy. Those were the main genres that inspired me to study media in School & College, then Film & Television in my University years. Creating stories in these genres leaves me with a lot more room to work with creatively. Plus it’s just so much more fun writing in the worlds of Sci-Fi and Fantasy.
Beyond my love for storytelling, my hobbies consist of:
- Video Gaming
- Brainstorming Ideas with friends.
- Analysing Film/Television content
- Badminton
- Outdoor Activities (in the Summer)
