In response to a recent article discussing what people really think of Redcar and its divisive Beacon landmark, a variety of reactions have emerged from the community. Many locals have stepped forward to defend the town, and others have agreed with the negative reviews and given their own opinions.
The original article revealed a series of stinging TripAdvisor reviews criticising the Beacon while others praised the seafront. Common problems identified were cleanliness, accessibility, prices and appearance overall.
