The World Parmo Championships are back in Middlesbrough – the birth place of the legendary breaded chicken, béchamel sauce and cheese dish.
After a four year hiatus, The World Parmo Championships have returned to Teesside this weekend.
Dozens of hand picked restaurants from Middlesbrough, Stockton and even Australia have been put to a public vote on the Love Middlesbrough website, with voting to decide four finalists due to close today (so if you haven’t voted, make sure you get your selection in quick!).
Then on Monday October 28 the final four will battle it out in a cook-off at Middlesbrough Town Hall.
Judges including Middlesbrough Mayor, Andy Preston, BBC Tees, Scott Makin, and three-time BDO World Darts Champion, Glen Durrant, plus a special guest judge selected from applications from members of the public, will decide the ultimate winner.
