Winners of the Teesside University student elections announced

The results of this year’s Teesside University Student Elections were officially announced last night.  

Sai Dorapally won the position of President Education with 747 votes, which was a close win with only a 19-vote difference from the runner up.  

Ganesh Poshala won the President International position with 1,227 votes, making it the biggest landslide with nearly 400 votes difference.  

Clinton Aideloje won the position of President Wellbeing with 1,011 votes, coming out on top with 199 votes more than the runner-up.  

Clinton told TUxtra: “I’m delighted to have been elected. Representing students’ wellbeing has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve been working towards this for a long time. 

“I’m really looking forward to making a positive impact in my new role.” 

Each of the elects have their own key priorities when they take office, including pushing for fairer assessments, better academic support, empowering a culture of inclusivity, and creating safe and valued environment for all students.  

The trio will take office in July and run as presidents for the next year.
